Invisalign at S3 Dental Sussex
If you have teeth which are crooked, twisted and which cause oral hygiene to become a problem, then conventional orthodontics are usually used. The technique involves straightening and alignment of the teeth through fixed metal braces. However, here at the Sussex dental practice we offer the latest invisible braces created by 'Invisalign'. Clear aligners are custom molded in order to fit your teeth the best way that they can and this is based upon the most recent computerised technology. You can expect these aligners to be changed every two weeks as they slowly reposition the teeth into a smile which you are confident with. Treatment times vary but usually it is between six months to one year.

Generally Invisible braces are used to treat the following conditions:
Crowding – This is where the teeth are too close together
Spacing – This includes gaps between teeth
Overbite – Where the teeth tend to overlap too much
Overjet – Your front teeth stick out more than they should.
Underbite – Only your lower teeth stick out and your lower jaw could be too big
Crossbite – Your lower and upper teeth bite down on the wrong side of each other
Openbite – With this your teeth do not tend to meet when you bite
Misplaced midline – The centre lines of the lower and upper teeth do not align properly
Treatment with Invisalign is:
- Convenient – You are able to take out your aligners in order to eat and then clean your teeth.
- Discrete –There are no real signs that you are having any treatment.
- Comfortable – You do not have to suffer with metal bars in your mouth.
